My work and that of seven of my students achieved finalist status for the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence Awards. The actual place awarded will be announced April 13-14, 2007, at the regional award’s ceremony in St. Louis, MO. The finalists are:
"Seniors dance to their health"
"Drought affects Kansans"
"Evolution of KU cheerleading"
The awards will be presented during the Mark of Excellence Luncheon at the upcoming spring conference, April 13-14, 2007, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Stay tuned for results!

Even though apparently my last comment on this Web site did not get approved (by you!), I am gonna try again and say congratulations to you and all the journalists! I will keep my fingers crossed for those Pulitzers! :-)

Congrats! I’d like to think the nomination came from my tireless work on the Pothole story a few weeks back…
Glad to see you have AHWOSG on your bookshelf as well…that Dave Eggers is a talented dude. “What is the What” is worth checking out as well–just finishing that one up.
Congrats again!
